Based on the directives of Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Undersecretary of the Information Ministry Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar on Monday launched the official directory for social media accounts management in governmental entities.
The undersecretary affirmed that the ministry does not spare any efforts engaging all governmental entities in order to upgrade their media products and serve the interest of our beloved Kingdom.
The directory was launched in presence of representatives of governmental and academic entities that contributed in its compilation, upon initiative by the Information Ministry wherein various official bodies contributed in the work team comprising technicians and legal experts along with representatives of the Information Ministry, the Information and e-Government Authority and the University of Bahrain, in the preparation of this directory.
The directory outlines the social media accounts procedures for governmental directorates to ensure their safe and sound management. Bahrain has always been keen to boost the role of information technology (IT) in upgrading public services rendered by the various ministries and directorates.
