Information minister commends AI training initiative for over 1,000 government employees

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, emphasised the ministry’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to enhance both its media and administrative operations. This aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which aim to drive digital transformation and invest in national talent.

The minister made the statement while receiving Muhannad Suleiman Al Noaimi, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Team at the Ministry of Information. He lauded the success of the AI Creators Lab initiative, which has trained more than 1,000 government employees from over 16 entities across the Kingdom in under a year since its launch. The initiative is part of the ministry’s broader efforts to upskill national talent and enhance readiness in artificial intelligence.

The minister commended the team’s efforts in delivering a high impact programme that supports Bahrain’s leading regional position in the field. He wished continued success to all those involved in the initiative.

On his part, Muhannad Al Noaimi expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Information for his continued support and for providing the necessary resources and environment that contributed to the success of the initiative in delivering an advanced learning experience in artificial intelligence.

The AI Creators Lab programme covered a wide range of advanced skills, including AI-based media and administrative content creation, virtual character design, prompt engineering, and the production of visual and audio content using the latest AI tools. These skills help strengthen the media workforce’s ability to keep pace with rapid digital transformation.
