Information Minister attends Roots Summit

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, attended the first edition of Roots Summit, the New Gen AI Summit.

The event, organised by the UAE-based media company CrestNax, brought together leading figures and decision-makers from Bahrain and the UAE to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence across key sectors.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised the urgent need for the world to capitalise on rapid technological advancements, especially artificial intelligence, as a powerful driver of sustainable development, innovation, and inclusive prosperity.

The minister underscored Bahrain’s approach in embracing advanced technologies, guided by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted that Bahrain’s progress in digital transformation has earned the Kingdom prominent positions in international rankings, reflecting its commitment to modernising infrastructure and supporting long-term development goals.

Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted the role of events like Roots Summit in fostering meaningful knowledge exchange, encouraging research collaboration, and navigating the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies.

The minister also called for continued regional cooperation to ensure that artificial intelligence is harnessed responsibly and effectively, in a way that balances innovation with social and ethical considerations.

Dr. Al Noaimi toured the summit exhibition and attended several sessions focusing on AI’s growing impact on education, healthcare, media, and security. He praised the quality of the research and insights presented, highlighting their contribution to a deeper understanding of AI’s transformative potential.

CrestNax’s decision to launch the summit in Bahrain reflects the Kingdom’s regional leadership in digital innovation and its commitment to creating a fertile environment for technological advancement.
