Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Folk Poetry Society organises fourth edition of Hala Bil Mithaq festival

Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Folk Poetry Society organised the fourth edition of the Folk Poetry Festival (Hala Bil Mithaq) in celebration of the 24th anniversary of the adoption of the National Action Charter (NAC).

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, commended the Folk Poetry Society’s commitment to organising this annual event, which commemorates one of the nation’s key milestones and expresses pride in Bahrain’s achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The minister highlighted the support of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman, noting his support for creativity, particularly in popular poetry, which is integral to Bahrain’s cultural identity.

Dr. Al Noaimi noted the importance of poetry in Bahrain’s cultural heritage, reflecting national sentiment, dedication to the homeland, and loyalty to His Majesty the King’s leadership.

The minister commended the poets for their performances during the festival. He also commended the participation of poets from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, reflecting the deep-rooted bonds between the GCC states.

Shaikh Khalid bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Folk Poetry Society, commended the royal patronage of Bahrain’s cultural and literary scene, highlighting His Majesty’s support for poetry and poets. He noted that this has developed creativity and excellence, strengthening Bahrain’s position as a regional centre for culture and the arts.
