About the competition:
The Creative Content Competition is one of the initiatives of the “Innovators Lab,” that has been launched by the Ministry of Information in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Creative Content Competition aims to develop innovative media content for Bahrain Television, including programmes, series, films, plays and songs in Arabic and English languages. It aligns with national priorities and targets Bahraini private production companies.
Competition Goals:
Develop and invest in Bahraini TV content across various genres.
Create competitive opportunities for Bahraini production companies.
Support local institutions in producing competitive content on a regional and global level.
Motivate and engage Bahraini talents in content creation and production.
Cultivate a stimulating environment for creative production in Bahrain.

Competition Procedure:
Specialised panels will review content and ideas for production. Upon meeting criteria, funding will be provided after evaluating the business model efficiency.
The Ministry of Information will financially support winning projects and hold intellectual property rights of them after production.
Eligibility:
– Production institutions and companies.
Application Deadline:
The application process will open on May 1 2024, for one month, through the Ministry of Information website. Ideas can be submitted according to specified mechanisms and criteria.
General Participation Conditions:
Each institution can submit up to two entries per category in Arabic or English.
All required information and technical details must be provided.
Submissions deadline: June 1, 2024.
Entries will be assessed by a specialised committee.
The Ministry of Information will financially support winning projects and acquire intellectual property rights post-production.
Programme Category Requirements:
• Episode duration: 20 to 60 minutes.
• Essential information required: programme concept, objectives, technical specificiations, budget, distribution and promotion plan, presentation model. Priority will be given to companies that include a pilot.
Film Category Requirements:
• Original, innovative film ideas.
• Feature films of 60 to 120 minutes accepted.
• All necessary information must be included in presentation model. This includes the script, team, proposed detailed budget, and the distribution and promotion plan.
Series Category Requirements:
• Original series ideas only.
• Episode duration: maximum of 45 minutes.
• Essential data needed: series storyline and synopsis, technical specifications (such as production team, proposed cast, scenario for 3 episodes,), budget, presentation
Music Category Requirements:
• Original song ideas only.
• Essential data: song lyrics, shooting plans, budget, team, proposed singer Priority given to submissions with music demo.
Theatre Play Category Requirements:
• Original play ideas only.
• Submission includes script, overall concept, technical details, including technical team, actors, scenography.
• All necessary data in designated presentation model, including script, budget, distribution and promotion plan.
