The media centre for the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4, was inaugurated.
The event was attended by Jasim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC; Nabil bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, Adviser to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs; and Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Communication Centre (NCC).
Dr. Al Noaimi expressed Bahrain’s pride in hosting the 46th GCC Summit, emphasising the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing joint Gulf initiatives under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted that these efforts aim to enhance the GCC’s cooperation, promoting greater integration and prosperity, grounded in a firm belief in unity of purpose and shared objectives.
The information Minister noted that the summit is a major regional event showcasing Gulf cohesion and solidarity. He added that its timing calls for enhanced media efforts to convey its important messages and strategic significance. The Ministry of Information, the NCC, and all relevant authorities in the Kingdom are fully committed to supporting local, regional, and international media, enabling them to carry out their professional work and effectively highlight the importance of this key milestone in the GCC’s ongoing journey.
GCC Secretary General Albudaiwi, Advisor Al Hamer and Dr. Al Noaimi toured the media centre and accompanying exhibition, reviewing the technical and organisational preparations designed to provide comprehensive media services for the summit.
They commended the efforts invested in preparing the media centre according to the highest professional standards and commended the continuous work of media personnel in providing full coverage that reflects the importance of the summit and its role in advancing joint Gulf initiatives.
