Information Minister receives Secretary General for Council for International Dispute Resolution

Manama, Aug. 20 (BNA): Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, received Professor Marike Paulsson, Secretary General for the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Information Minister commended the council’s role in consolidating Bahrain’s position as a leading centre for the peaceful settlement of international commercial disputes through conciliation, arbitration, and mediation. He said this constitutes a qualitative addition that enhance the legal and economic environment supporting development and investment, in line with the Kingdom’s approach to promoting the values of justice and peace.

Dr. Al Noaimi noted that the presence of the council in Bahrain reflects growing international confidence in the kingdom’s ability to be a trusted platform for resolving regional and international disputes in this domain, thereby enhancing the business climate and supporting the goals of sustainable development.

On her part, Professor Paulsson expressed pride in Bahrain’s role in advancing international dispute resolution mechanisms and its commitment to supporting efforts aimed at consolidating the foundations of justice, peace, and stability at the regional and international levels.
