Bahrain hosts animation industry seminar

The first Animation Industry Conference has started in Bahrain under the patronage of the Ministry of Information Affairs, in presence of the Information Ministry’s Undersecretary Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar and Palestinian Minister in Charge of Official Media Ahmad Assaf, diplomats, guests and stakeholders.

The seminar illuminates the importance of the animation picture industry and its impact on child upbringing, the economic feasibility of cartoons’ production and distribution and ways for the Arab production to attain world-class status in addition to focusing on obstacles and challenges in this industry and encouraging production partnerships with governmental agencies to establish a viable animation movie industry.

Dr. Abdulrahman Bahar, in his opening speech, affirmed that the Information Affairs Ministry spearheaded by the Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, has always been keen to contribute in building the child’s character, national sense of belonging and inherent Arab and Islamic identity.

The undersecretary added that the Ministry of Information Affairs supports all national media establishments and encourages all constructive production in harmony with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 aimed to develop a distinctive economic model through the public-private partnership (PPP) to attain global competitiveness. He stressed the importance of promoting the animation pictures industry as the effective cultural and media tools in enlightening the culture of the child who is the future of the Arab nation.
