Information Affairs Undersecretary also in charge of
Bahrain News Agency, Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar, said the participation
of the Information Affairs Ministry in the eighth edition of Youth City 2030, in
cooperation with the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry, comes in
implementation of the directives of Information Affairs Minister Ali bin
Mohammed Al‑Romaihi and keenness of both ministries to prepare and
qualify fresh national media cadres in conformity with the national project to
develop the media and communication sector and launch Bahrain’s new
media identity in line with best international standards.
The Information Undersecretary yesterday took part in the opening ceremony
of the Youth City 2030 that held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser
bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative to HM the King for Charity Works and
Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and
President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, who delegated Youth and Sports
Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al‑Jowder to open the event.
The Undersecretary said the Media Training Center at the Youth City 2030
follows the latest professional practices in the media field to include areas of
production, photography, editing, sound engineering, graphic and TV
preparation and presentation, in cooperation with leading national and
international media institutions.
He praised the cooperation between the two ministries, which interprets the
march of achieving Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
He stressed the Information Ministry’s keenness to support the Youth and
Sport Ministry to achieve this ambitious project and creating a similar kind
environment to the labour market to guide and educate the youth about
Bahrain’s economy driving sectors, in addition to provide them with a suitable
environment to become creative and productive and to actively contribute to
the development process.
