Information Ministry’s Equal Opportunities Committee holds meeting

The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Information held today its 3rd periodic meeting for this year under the chairmanship of Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television, Abdullah Khalid Al Dosari.
The committee extended sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the 20th anniversary of SCW. It stressed commitment of the Ministry of Information to dedicate all its capabilities to empower Bahraini women in various areas.
The committee also reviewed the programmes and initiatives it implemented during the 2nd quarter of this year, including mainly the media programmes plan put in place to celebrate the 20th anniversary of SCW.
The meeting also shed light on integrating the needs of women at the ministry and promoting equal opportunities by working out mechanisms to follow indices and statistics related to training, representation and occupancy of executive jobs.
Discussions also focused on proposals to improve the work environment and equal opportunities for female employees at the Ministry of Information.
