Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, participated in the 103rd regular session of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media.
Al Binkhalil commended the Committee’s efforts in developing joint Arab media work and adopting initiatives that enhance the role of Arab media in supporting sustainable development across the Arab region.
He underscored that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Kingdom of Bahrain remains committed to advancing Arab cooperation across all sectors, particularly in media, recognising its role in promoting regional awareness, security, stability, and sustainable prosperity.
Al Binkhalil highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to active participation in all joint Arab media meetings and forums to explore the best practices for advancing Arab media in line with public expectations and global media developments, including digital media and artificial intelligence technologies.
He also commended Arab states for unifying visions, objectives, and strategies to build a professional and purposeful Arab media, and noted the importance of following up on the progress of recommendations and resolutions from the 102nd session hosted by the United Arab Emirates.
Al Binkhalil expressed appreciation to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Arab League Secretariat – Media and Communication Sector, and the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information for organising the session and supporting the upcoming meetings of the 21st regular session of the Executive Office and the 55th regular session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information.
