Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted that Bahraini journalism today represents a key pillar supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development, drawing its status from the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continued attention of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He emphasised that national journalism, under this high-level support, has become a credible platform reflecting Bahrain’s achievements and deep-rooted rich cultural heritage, and a model of professionalism and responsible practice.

The minister expressed pride in the tangible progress of Bahraini journalism and the significant strides it has achieved, noting that royal directives have always served as a clear roadmap for the advancement of the national media sector. This has enabled Bahraini journalism to continue fulfilling its role in serving national interests and allowed journalists to perform their roles within the framework of Bahrain’s core values.

Dr. Al Noaimi commended the leading role of the BJA in developing the national press landscape and supporting local professionals in this vital field. He noted that the association has succeeded in establishing itself as a pioneering professional institution with a strong presence locally, regionally, and internationally.

He also commended the efforts of the association’s president and board members in advancing the profession. He emphasised the ministry’s commitment to enhancing its partnership with the association to support national journalism and advance its ability to keep pace with rapid technological developments, enabling it to effectively fulfil its role in raising public awareness. He wished the BJA and its members continued success.

On his part, Isa Al Shaiji, President of the BJA, highlighted that the ministry’s ongoing support has significantly contributed to the association’s ability to achieve its goals and implement various programmes over the years.
