Information Minister chairs Gulf Radio and Television Festival committee meeting

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, chaired a remote meeting of the Standing Committee for the Gulf Radio and Television Festival.

Majri Mubarak Al Qahtani, the Director-General of the Gulf Radio and Television Organistion (GRTO), was present.

The meeting reviewed the latest preparations for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of the 17th edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival. Discussions also covered the festival’s agenda and the planned initiatives and activities, including specialised seminars, workshops, and exhibitions in radio and television production.

Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised the significance of the festival as a leading cultural and media platform that strengthens media integration among GCC countries and reinforces their shared cultural identity. He noted that the 17th edition continues the success of previous editions.

He added that the festival provides a valuable opportunity to honour creative Gulf media professionals and offers a platform for production companies to compete and exchange expertise, thereby contributing to the development of Gulf media content and raising its profile regionally and internationally.

Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted the committee’s commitment to delivering an outstanding edition this year that reflects the ambitions of Gulf creatives and the progress made in the region’s media sector. He added that the festival aligns with the rapid developments in the industry.
