The Ministry of Information in the Kingdom of Bahrain places special importance on leveraging the National Policy for the Use of Artificial Intelligence, in alignment with the Kingdom’s digital transformation journey and the comprehensive eGovernment vision. This approach reflects the Ministry’s commitment to advancing the media ecosystem and enhancing the quality of services provided to the public by integrating AI applications across various domains—including content review and evaluation, citizen engagement, media analytics development, and multilingual communication—contributing to streamlined procedures and greater transparency.
This strategic direction supports Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, while adhering to relevant national legislation, foremost among them the Personal Data Protection Law and the Open Data Policy.
The Ministry also continues to invest in developing national competencies through specialized training and reinforcing ethical values in the application of emerging technologies, thereby strengthening public trust and affirming Bahrain’s position as a regional leader in the responsible use of artificial intelligence
