HM King first supporter of youth, sports achievements: Information Minister

Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has lauded the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to efforts to promote the culture of sports for all in a healthy and sustainable society, as well as their continued interest in developing Bahraini sport and increasing its achievements.

In a statement marking the sixth edition of the Bahrain Sports Day, the minister expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and to the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for their support for the Bahrain Sports Day, and encouragement of the citizens and residents to practise sports, develop their physical fitness and enhance their technical and creative skills.

Al-Romaihi expressed pride in the massive participation of the Information Affairs Ministry’s employees in the Bahrain Sports Day, while adhering to the directives of the Civil Service Bureau in this regard, in addition to the precautionary health measures to ensure the safety and health of everyone.

He also highlighted the Information Affairs Ministry’s keenness to cover various activities held across the kingdom marking the Bahrain Sports Day through its TV channels, radio stations and digital platforms, to promote the sports culture, given its role in enhancing physical and psychological well-being, increasing work and productivity, deepening loyalty and belonging the nation and participating effectively in boosting the comprehensive development march, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the first supporter of sports and youth achievements in the kingdom.
