Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi met at the construction site of the new news studio with staff members of the news department. The meeting was held in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Affairs, Abdullah Khalid Al Doseri.
The Information Minister thanked the news department affiliates for their efforts in covering various local functions as well as highlighting the national accomplishments made under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also praised their role in spotlighting the achievements of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Information Minister lauded the great development of the news production sector in terms of focusing on national achievements and reaching a responsible national media scene based on accurate information, good analysis and continuous verification to reach the largest possible segment of the local and Gulf community.
The minister exchanged with the audience viewpoints on promoting the news work and keeping pace with the rapid developments witnessed by this vital sector. He also cast light on the new news studio project which is considered the biggest at the level of the official channels in the region. The new state-of-the-art studio is expected to be inaugurated in the second semester of this year. It is considered one of the latest projects being carried out by the Information Ministry which will bring about a radical change in the news bulletins and programmes.
