Information Minister: 16th Gulf Radio and Television Festival to be more successful than previous editions

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, received here today Majri Mubarak Al Qahtani, the Director-General of the Gulf Radio and Television Organistion, in the presence of Abdulla Khalid Al Dosari, Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Affairs at the Ministry of Information.

The two sides discussed the preparations and arrangements for holding the 16th edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival, as well as the efforts made by the Kingdom to successfully host this important Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) event.

The Information Minister commended the vital and influential role played by the Gulf Radio and Television Organistion in strengthening the joint GCC media action to be more expressive of the aspects of GCC states’ development and progress strides, as well as improve the artistic and technical levels of the GCC radio and television production.

Dr. Al Noaimi affirmed that the GCC media has been and will continue to be an important and influential voice that preserves the common GCC identity, as well as an effective platform for achieving the aspirations of GCC countries and peoples for more integration.

He emphasised that the Gulf Radio and Television Organistion has had, and will continue to have an important influence and clear imprints on creating the conscience of the GCC peoples through its effective artistic and creative works that contribute to preserving the authentic value system.

The Minister of Information affirmed the kingdom’s keenness to harness all potentials to ensure the success of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival 2024, as it is an important occasion to honour GCC creative people and artists.

He underlined the kingdom’s pride in hosting the biennial GCC radio and television event, stressing keenness to ensure that the 16th edition will be more successful than the previous editions.

Majri Mubarak Al Qahtani expressed thanks and appreciation to the Information Minister for his constant support for efforts to enhance joint GCC media cooperation.

He also hailed the minister’s support for the efforts of the Gulf Radio and Television Organistion, in a way that boosts joint GCC action, and reflects the existing distinguished relations among GCC states and countries.

Al Qahtani affirmed his confidence that Bahrain will organise a more successful edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival in 2024, thanks to its distinguished media competencies and advanced infrastructure, wishing the Kingdom and its people continued progress and prosperity.
