Information Minister highlights Bahraini women’s strides

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Information Minister, has attributed the distinguished position reached by Bahraini women to the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the unwavering interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

This has paved the way for Bahraini women to prove their competence in the various posts they have held, becoming effective and influential partners in the kingdom’s development phases, he said.

The minister expressed pride in the Bahraini women’s giving, stressing that their achievements and advancement are the fruitful outcomes of the initiatives and efforts of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and SCW President.

In a statement marking the Bahraini Women’s Day 2023, observed on December 1, Dr. Al Noaimi lauded the Bahraini women’s achievements and contributions to various fields of the national comprehensive development process.

He affirmed that Bahrain is proud of being a pioneer in granting women all their rights in all fields decades ago, adding that HM the King’s comprehensive development process has institutionalised those rights through the National Action Charter and the Constitution through their provisions that consolidate the principle of equal opportunities in the development process.

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi indicated that the Information Ministry, through its Equal Opportunities Committee, is keen to adopt many plans and programmes aimed at ensuring women’s advancement and increasing their contributions to various media sectors, highlighting the commitment of the national media to highlighting the Bahraini Women’s Day and prominent women figures as a token of appreciation to Bahraini women.

He extended sincere congratulations to the Information Ministry’s employees and affiliates on the national occasion, commending the efforts made by Bahraini women media personnel to develop the national media.
