Information Minister participates in Saudi Media Forum

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, the Minister of Information, participated in the Saudi Media Forum 3, held Tuesday in Riyadh under the theme “Media in a World Taking Shape”.

The minister spoke in the session ” Arab Media in The Face of Change – Ministry Visions for Future Milestones.

Dr. Al Noaimi said that the support received by the media sector in Bahrain from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, drove the efforts to accelerate the progress in this vital media sector.

Dr. Al Noaimi underscored the importance of the Saudi Media Forum as a prominent media event that contributes to consolidating the status of Gulf and Arab media, especially that it is attended by officials, decision makers and mediapersons.

He said that the forum offers a platform for exchanging opinions and expertise, and major radio and television production companies to connect and collaborate.

The minister added that the forum’s sessions and workshops provide perspectives that shape the future of media in the region.

The annual media awards presented by the forum serve as an incentive and motivation for Gulf and Arab mediapersons to make more efforts and creative contributions, Dr. Al Noaimi said.

Dr. Al Noaimi commended the efforts of Saudi Arabia to develop the framework and joint Gulf and Arab action, especially in the field of media.

The minister expressed thanks to Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari, the Saudi Minister of Media, for his efforts to enhance joint media cooperation.

Dr. Al Noaimi stressed the need for traditional media outlets to continue their development efforts to maintain their position and reliability in public opinion, at a time of rapid technological advancements in the media sector and the increasing influence of social media.

He underlined the significant role that media can play in supporting the efforts of countries sustainable development.

The Information Minister said that Bahrain’s media operated within advanced technical and professional strategies, expressing pride in the competence and professionalism of Bahraini media personnel.

The minister noted the kingdom’s willingness to actively engage in discussions regarding the reality and future of media and efforts for its development, that align with the growth and development witnessed by countries in the region.
