Abu Dhabi, Dec. 9 (BNA): Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, participated in the 102nd meeting of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media, held under the chairmanship of Abdulrahman bin Nasser Al Obaidan.
The undersecretary underscored the critical role of Arab media in addressing regional and global challenges, emphasising its importance in supporting development efforts across Arab nations and promoting content that defends Arab causes while safeguarding regional security.
He highlighted Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to fostering Arab cooperation, particularly in the media sector. He stressed Bahrain’s dedication to advancing initiatives that strengthen unity and address the aspirations of Arab nations.
Al Binkhalil noted the efforts of Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, in ensuring Bahrain’s active participation in Arab media discussions. He affirmed Bahrain’s belief in the importance of collective action as a strategic pathway to development and stability across the Arab world.
He commended the agenda of the session, describing it as pivotal for advancing Arab media and aligning it with contemporary challenges. He also underscored the UAE’s excellent organisation of the meeting and expressed appreciation to the Arab League’s General Secretariat for its efforts in shaping the discussions and ensuring the effective implementation of resolutions.
