His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa inaugurated the Celebrate Bahrain festival at the Heritage Village in Ras Hayyan, organised by the Ministry of Information.
The festival celebrates the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Days, commemorating its founding as a modern Arab and Muslim state in 1783 by Ahmed Al Fateh, and marking the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.
Upon arrival, His Highness was welcomed by the Minister of Information, HE Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, along with several senior officials.
His Highness noted that the National Day celebrations reflect the values of citizenship, belonging, and national identity of the people of Bahrain. The events also highlight Bahrain’s achievements that contribute to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty the King, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
On this occasion, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman extended his congratulations to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, expressing his wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continued progress and prosperity under the leadership of HM the King.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman noted that the festival showcases authentic Bahraini folklore and heritage, embodying the rich cultural legacy of Bahrain, which continues to be passed down to future generations.
His Highness expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all members of the Ministry of Information for organising the festival and extended his best wishes for their continued success in their endeavours during the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations.
His Highness witnessed a performance by the National Guard and the Alkray Team, which showcased Bahrain’s heritage.
His Highness then toured the festival, where HH was briefed on its activities presented by various ministries, government agencies, and the private sector.
The festival highlights the Kingdom’s historical and cultural heritage as well as its national identity. Activities include heritage shows, traditional crafts, a market showcasing various local products, and entertainment programmes for children.
For his part, the Minister of Information, HE Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, expressed his gratitude to HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for inaugurating the Celebrate Bahrain Festival at the Heritage Village.
HE Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised the Ministry’s commitment to hosting the festival annually in conjunction with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national holiday celebrations, as it embodies the authentic Bahraini identity, history, and culture.
HE Dr. Al Noaimi noted that the festival also provides an opportunity to showcase the Kingdom’s national achievements in the context of the comprehensive development initiated 25 years ago under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
