The Ministry of Information’s Equal Opportunities Committee held its third meeting for 2025, chaired by Abdulrahman Khalid Ahmed Al Midfaa, Assistant Undersecretary for News and Regulatory Affairs, with committee members in attendance.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed key achievements in promoting gender balance and enhancing women’s empowerment across the ministry’s departments, while following up on previous decisions and related reports.
The committee also discussed upcoming initiatives, including preparations for Bahraini Women’s Day, participation in the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for the Advancement of Bahraini Women, and proposed media initiatives to highlight the success stories of female employees in collaboration with relevant departments.
The committee underscored its commitment to continuing efforts to strengthen women’s presence in the media sector, commending the support of Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, for his ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of gender balance in the media workplace.
