Information Ministry concludes AI media training for Interior Ministry staff

Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, attended the closing ceremony of the third edition of the training programme “Media Content Creation through Artificial Intelligence Applications”.

The programme was organised by the Ministry of Information’s Innovators Lab for personnel from the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Police Media Centre at the Ministry of Interior, and was delivered by Mohannad Al Noaimi, Head of the AI Team at the Ministry of Information.

The Undersecretary commended the outcome of the programme, noting its contribution to advancing professional security media using modern technologies.

Al Binkhalil stated that the implementation of this programme reflects the Ministry’s commitment to offering high-level specialised training in the use of advanced technologies and the integration of modern applications to enhance the quality of government services.

He added that AI applications have become a core component of institutional work due to their direct role in fostering creativity and innovation, thereby improving performance and service quality.

Al Binkhalil also emphasised the strategic importance of training and investing in human capital across all government institutions.

The programme also witnessed the launch of Sahm, the first AI-powered virtual security news editor. Developed by participants in the training, Sahm is designed to produce accurate, comprehensive, and impactful security media content in line with efforts to strengthen media and security capabilities.
