Information Minister: Deputy PM visit underscores support for national media

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, noted that the visit by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, to Akhbar Al Khaleej on the occasion of its 50th anniversary reflects the government’s established approach to supporting national media and strengthening a professional media work environment.

The Minister of Information underscored the Deputy Prime Minister’s remarks during the visit, in which Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted the role of national media institutions, the Ministry of Information, and the National Communication Centre in ensuring coordination and coherence across the government media message.

Dr. Al Noaimi said that this approach reinforces the importance of coordinated institutional work and national responsibility in supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Minister of Information highlighted the longstanding role of Akhbar Al Khaleej, noting that its golden jubilee marks a sustained professional contribution to the national media landscape and its role in accompanying major national developments with professionalism and responsibility.

Dr. Al Noaimi reiterated the ministry’s commitment to advancing a modern and comprehensive national media sector, strengthening cooperation with press institutions, and continuing to develop the regulatory, professional, and technical frameworks governing media work, in line with national priorities and ongoing developments.
