Information Minister, Russian Culture Minister discuss cooperation

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, met with Olga Lyubimova, Russian Minister of Culture.

The meeting reviewed ways to develop bilateral cultural relations and projects to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

Dr. Al Noaimi commended the depth of the historical relations between Russia and Bahrain, which continue to develop under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Excellency President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

The minister emphasised the importance of cultural cooperation in bilateral relations and expressed hope for new opportunities to strengthen joint initiatives and ties between the two countries.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), emphasised that the launch of the Russian cultural seasons in Bahrain is the result of joint efforts and mutual commitment between the two countries, marking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He commended the ongoing Russian cultural presence in Bahrain’s local activities and expressed his wishes for the success of the seasons in all their offerings throughout the year.

On her part, Lyubimova commended the Kingdom’s comprehensive cultural and civilisational progress. She emphasised Russia’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in various domains, particularly in culture, to implement additional joint programmes and cultural events.
