Information Minister participates in Saudi Media Forum 2025

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, participated in the panel discussion “Media Legislation and its Impact on Achieving Sustainable Development”, during the Saudi Media Forum 2025 in Riyadh. The fourth edition of the forum is held under the theme “Media in an Evolving World”.

The minister emphasised that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, prioritises the development and qualifications of human capital, as a key pillar of progress and development.

Dr. Al Noaimi noted that Bahrain recently marked 24 years since the adoption of the National Action Charter. He described it as the foundation for a comprehensive approach that has led to ongoing success and achievements at local, regional, and global levels. Dr. Al Noaimi also highlighted that the charter instilled a passion for achievement as a driving force behind these successes.

Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised that all countries in the region are keen to invest in technological infrastructure and enhance digital media readiness to support a modern media landscape driven by creativity and innovation. He pointed out that the main challenge in the digital age is investing in content that conveys a national message and upholds social values and principles.

The minister highlighted the directives of His Majesty the King on maintaining the national identity, noting that this vision plays a crucial role in deepening the sense of belonging and self-pride, particularly among young people. He noted that this contributes to advancing ongoing achievements and successes.

On media legislation in the digital age, Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted that regulatory frameworks should not only govern content but also support investment in the media sector by collaborating with the private sector to encourage creativity and innovation.

Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari, Saudi Minister of Media, noted that the event aims to assess the future media landscape amid evolving challenges. He added that it seeks to develop a roadmap for innovative and sustainable media that integrates technology with cultural diversity while promoting awareness, transparency, and credibility.

The fourth edition of the forum featured multiple panel discussions covering a wide range of topics, with more than 2,000 participants and speakers from various domains.

On the sidelines of the forum, Dr. Al Noaimi met with Minister Al Dosari. He praised the deep-rooted historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He also commended Saudi Arabia’s efforts in organising this key event, highlighting its role in facilitating the exchange of expertise, sharing experiences, and strengthening media cooperation among participants.

Dr. Al Noaimi also met with Attaullah Tarar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to discuss the longstanding relations between the two countries.

The two sides reviewed means to further develop cooperation and enhance coordination in various media domains to support shared goals and aspirations.
