Information Minister, Tourism Minister visit Heritage Village Evenings Festival

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information; Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism; and Sara Ahmed Buhejji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), visited the Heritage Village Evenings Fesitval, organised by the Ministry of Information as part of the “Ramadan Al Khayr in Bahrain” season at the Heritage Village in Ras Hayan.

The ministers and the CEO were briefed on the festival’s cultural, entertainment, and commercial activities, commending the organisers’ efforts in delivering the event at a distinguished level.

The ministers and the CEO also visited the set of the popular competition programme “Al Sariya”, where they highlighted the efforts of the programme’s team in producing high-quality content that celebrates the cultural heritage and civilisational achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. They emphasised that the programme reflects the deep-rooted bonds among GCC nations and showcases the rich Gulf cultural heritage and national traditions of each member state.

The Minister of Tourism highlighted the variety of events in this year’s “Ramadhan Al Khayr in Bahrain” season, which takes place during the holy month and has drawn many visitors from Bahrain and abroad. She commended the cooperation between government and private sector entities in creating a unique Ramadhan experience through diverse cultural and entertainment activities that showcase Bahrain’s rich heritage, expressing confidence in their positive impact.

The Minister of Information underscored the commitment to organising events that reflect Bahrain’s authentic heritage and strengthen national identity, with the unwavering support of His Majesty the King and the government, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to preserve Bahrain’s deep-rooted cultural and national identity.

Dr. Al Noaimi also highlighted the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in supporting initiatives that highlight and preserve traditional heritage. He commended HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s support for “Al Sariya,” which has contributed to the programme’s continued success during the holy month of Ramadhan.

The CEO of BTEA emphasised that “Ramadhan Al Khayr in Bahrain” reflects the strategic partnership between the public and private sectors. She noted that strong public participation in tourism seasons boosts confidence in Bahrain’s tourism sector and highlighted the key role of Bahraini professionals in the success of these events.
