As part of preparations for hosting the 3rd Asian Youth Games from 22 to 31 October 2025, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, conducted a field tour to review the readiness of media facilities and technical preparations for coverage of the event and its accompanying activities.
Minister Al Noaimi said the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of this major event reflects its strong regional and international reputation for organising major sports events under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He noted that the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and the follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), have provided a clear roadmap for all teams working to ensure the success of the Games.
The Information Minister visited Bahrain Sports Channel’s studio at the Ministry headquarters, designed specifically for full coverage of the Games, where he reviewed the broadcasting plans and technical support systems. He also inspected the media centre at the Bahrain National Stadium to oversee preparations and facilities supporting local and international media coverage, and followed up on arrangements for the opening ceremony at the Exhibition World Bahrain.
He highlighted that the ministry has mobilised its full media and technical resources to ensure comprehensive coverage using advanced digital technologies, reflecting Bahrain’s capabilities and status in the regional sports landscape.
Minister Al Noaimi concluded that the successful hosting and extensive media coverage of the Games will highlight Team Bahrain’s collaborative spirit and reinforce the Kingdom’s status as a leading regional hub for major sporting events.
