Information Affairs Undersecretary Abdulrahman
Bahar and Council of Representatives’ Assistant Secretary for Resources and
Joint Services, Yasser Al‑Shirawi today witnessed the signing of a
cooperation agreement between the two sides.
The agreement stipulates that the Information Ministry to provide media
coverage for the Council of Representatives’ weekly sessions; parliamentary
committees meetings and activities to be held during the fourth session of the
fourth legislative term.
The Representatives’ Secretary Abdullah Al‑Dossari said the agreement
targets establishing partnership with the Information Ministry to inform the
public of the nature of the Council of Representatives’ work; disseminating
parliamentary culture and highlighting parliamentary achievements.
He lauded the Information Ministry’s efforts, as well as media institutions’ to
cover the parliamentary activities and weekly sessions.
The Information Undersecretary reviewed the directives of Information Affairs
Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al‑Romaihi on stimulating media partnership with
the Representatives Council in the interest of the democratic march led by
the leadership. He also welcomed the Representatives’ efforts to promote the
parliamentary process.
