Information Ministry participates in Bahrain Sports Day

Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al
Romaihi welcomed the royal support for sport and youth movement, the
dissemination of sport concept that is based on promoting spirit of
cooperation, respect, strengthening loyalty to the homeland and its leadership
and initiatives that contribute to the development march.

The minister took pride in the ministry’s participation along with government
institutions and national and sport federations in Bahrain Sports Day
activities. He pointed out the directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa
bin Salman Al Khalifa to allocate a half working day for sports activities,
noting the support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s
Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic
Committee.

He said sport activities have been held on the ministry’s premises, including
walking, table tennis, women’s fitness exercises, cycling, and other
recreational games, which enhance the spirit of team work, cooperation and
partnerships to develop institutional performance.

He stressed the ministry’s keenness to accentuate the national event and to
provide full coverage of its activities through radio, TV channels and social
media networks, in addition to raising awareness of the positive sport impact
on physical and psychological health and stimulating work and productivity.
