Sports studios development on track

In accordance with the aspirations of His Highness
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King
for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of
Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, to develop
playgrounds, provide ideal environment to hold sports competitions,
Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi issued directives to
develop the technical systems, projects, studios and equip the youth and
sports infrastructures with modern technologies, the media coverage and
showcase events that contribute in achievement of numerous gains,
especially to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The ministry’s Undersecretary Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar has instructed
the Assistant Undersecretary for Technical and Technological Affairs at the
Information Ministry, Abdullah Ahmed Al Balushi, to take the necessary
measures and assume the tasking of a working team to develop the technical
systems and equipment in the sports studios, in line with the ministry’s
modernization and development plan to realize the vision and aspirations of
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in boosting the Bahraini youth and

sports movement.

The ministry implemented the construction and maintenance of the studios of
the sports channels inside and outside the ministry, including the construction
of four external studios, the endurance studio, the Rashid Equestrians Club
studio, the Volleyball studio at the National Stadium, the Khalifa Stadium
internal studio, in addition to implementation of maintenance works in the
external studios (the National Stadium studio and the Khalifa Stadium studio.)

The ministry’s projects include the technical equipping of the sports channel
studio considered one of the pioneering projects established by the ministry
to develop the infrastructure for artistic transmission and equipping with latest
technologies to enhance the quality of coverage of sports events.

The projects also include the equipping of sports studios with latest
technological supplies keeping in pace with latest development in media
coverage, TV transmission and establishing analytical (commentary) studios
for various sports to reflect the of continuous national media progress.
