Information Minister hails cooperation agreement between Bahrain, UAE journalists associations

Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has lauded the cooperation agreement signed between the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) and the UAE Journalists Association (UAEJA) in the press and media fields.

Commenting on the agreement, stipulating the organisation of exchanged visits between journalists and media personnel, as well as joint training programmes, workshops, conferences and seminars, the minister stressed that the move would contribute to boosting the press and media in the kingdom, in light of the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the sector.

Al-Romaihi indicated that the cooperation agreement reflects the long-standing distinguished fraternal relations and strategic cooperation between Bahrain and the UAE at all levels, in line with the keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan of the UAE on constantly developing bilateral ties and opening up new horizons of joint coordination for the best interests of the two brotherly peoples.

He underlined the Information Affairs Ministry’s support for the efforts made by BJA to strengthen Bahrain’s distinguished strategic relations with brotherly and friendly countries, as well as to achieve its goals and develop the national press and media personnel.
