Information Minister hails Radio Bahrain’s achievements

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, the Minister of Information, said that thanks to the care and unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Radio Bahrain and the national media have achieved remarkable progress at the technical and artistic levels

In a statement marking the World Radio Day, which is observed every February 13, Dr. Al Noaimi affirmed that Radio Bahrain has, throughout its long history, accompanied all stages of the nation’s development, succeeding in presenting a media message that expresses Bahraini identity, as well as contributing to strengthening authentic values and promoting society’s awareness.

He added that since 1940, Radio Bahrain has expressed the voice of the nation and its citizens, noting that it has had prominent contributions in covering local, regional, and international events, while maintaining media values that are based on neutrality, objectivity and balance in presentation and analysis, earning it acclaim by all.

The minister pointed out that the Ministry of Information’s private radio studio building project, which HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister had inaugurated last August, constitutes a quantum leap in the process of radio work in Bahrain, in light of the capabilities, equipment, and modern technologies the building contains, in addition to the high-quality broadcasting, transmission and radio production.

This would support the capabilities of Bahrain in the field of radio work, commensurate with modern developments in this field, he added.

The minister praised the efforts of Radio Bahrain cadres, who have been able, through successive generations, to present an honourable image of the national media, through their commitment to social values and unwavering keenness to serve the nation’s top interests.

Dr. Ramzan Al Noaimi extended his sincere congratulations to all Radio Bahrain employees on this occasion, praising their efforts to keep Bahrain’s voice heard, as well as project to the world Bahrain’s values of peace, coexistence, and fraternity, wishing them continued success.
