Information minister attends Arab Information Ministers’ executive council meeting in Abu Dhabi

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, participated in the 20th session of the Executive Office of the Arab Information Ministers Council, hosted in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The session was chaired by Salman bin Yousef Al Dossary, Saudi Minister of Media and Chairman of the Executive Office.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE Media Council (UAEMC), Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the Arab League, as well as Arab Information Ministers who are members of the Executive Council.

Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to fostering Arab solidarity and strengthening cooperation among Arab countries across all domains, as reflected in the outcomes of the 33rd Arab Summit, the Bahrain Summit. The summit produced key decisions and recommendations that bolstered joint Arab action and underscored unity in addressing current challenges.

The minister noted Bahrain’s dedication to supporting efforts to enhance Arab media cooperation in line with evolving regional and international challenges. This includes developing the Arab media system, improving content quality, and advancing professional standards to meet shared goals.

Dr. Al Noaimi noted the growing importance of Arab media during this critical period in the region’s history. He urged the adoption of innovative initiatives to enhance Arab media’s presence and enable it to deliver its message with accuracy, integrity, and responsibility. He expressed his hope that the meeting would achieve its objectives, paving the way for a more prosperous future for the Arab region.

The Executive Office recommended continued media support for initiatives launched by HM the King at the Bahrain Summit in May, which were unanimously adopted by Arab leaders. The council also discussed several topics on its agenda.

The minister commended the UAE’s efforts in organising and hosting the session. He extended his appreciation to Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office, for the warm hospitality extended to the Arab Information Ministers and their delegations during the meeting.
