Bader Mohammed Hassan Abdullah, Director of the Radio Directorate at the Ministry of Information, highlighted Radio Bahrain’s vital role in the Kingdom’s media sector on the occasion of World Radio Day, observed annually on February 13.
He highlighted the radio’s contributions to conveying the Kingdom’s voice to a global audience, serving as a key platform for raising awareness, fostering communication within society, and promoting national values.
He underscored its role in supporting Bahrain’s development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and in line with the directives of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He noted that since its establishment in 1940, Radio Bahrain has maintained a strong presence in the media sector, fulfilling its national role while keeping pace with technological and digital advancements.
He emphasised that the station continues to develop under the guidance of Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, with advanced studios and integrating artificial intelligence to enhance operational efficiency and audience engagement.
He highlighted how digital transformation has expanded the reach of radio broadcasting, making it accessible via online platforms and mobile applications, alongside airing select programmes on television.
He noted that the expansion into satellite broadcasting and podcasts has broadened Radio Bahrain’s global reach, enabling it to engage with a wider audience.
He extended appreciation to all radio professionals at the Ministry of Information, commending their efforts in delivering Bahrain’s message to the world.
