The Ministry of Information has announced that registration for traditional games competitions as part of the Heritage Village Evenings Festival, which runs until the 18th of the holy month, has opened.
The ministry has set the registration period from February 28 to March 3, emphasising that prior registration is mandatory and no registrations will be accepted after this date.
The competitions include three traditional games: Carrom, Cote 6, and Dominoes. Participation is open to all age groups of citizens and residents, whether amateurs or professionals.
The registration fee is 3 dinars per participant, who must adhere to all rules and regulations of the competition, with any unsportsmanlike conduct or attempts at cheating strictly prohibited.
A specialised referee will be appointed for each game to ensure the implementation of rules and regulations, and the referees’ decisions will be final and non-negotiable. As for the prizes, the first-place winner will receive a cash prize of 1,000 dinars, the second-place winner will receive 500 dinars, and the third-place winner will be awarded 250 dinars.
The organising committee noted that it will send the competition schedule to all participants after the registration period ends, urging those interested to complete the registration form via the designated link, as participation will not be permitted for those who do not register within the specified period.
