Information Minister, Youth Minister attend closing ceremony of “Bil Bahraini” programme at Heritage Village

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, and Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, attended the closing ceremony of the “Bil Bahraini” (the Bahraini way) programme, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs. The initiative aims to strengthen the national identity and instil Bahrain’s authentic customs and traditions in younger generations.

Held in the Heritage Village, the event featured a detailed presentation on the programme’s success in achieving its objectives, reinforcing Bahraini values among participants, and deepening their connection to their national heritage.

The ministers toured the event’s various sections, engaging with participants who showcased the skills and knowledge gained through the programme. The event also highlighted traditional Bahraini customs that form an integral part of the national identity.

Participants presented live demonstrations of cultural heritage, folklore, and traditional hospitality etiquette, reflecting the richness of Bahrain’s traditions.

Minister Tawfiqi underscored the Ministry of Youth Affairs’ commitment to strengthening national identity and preserving Bahraini customs through programmes that promote authentic values. She emphasised that preserving heritage links Bahrain’s past, present, and future, highlighting the need for more initiatives to engage youth with their identity and pass traditions to future generations.

The “Bil Bahraini” programme is part of the ministry’s collaborative efforts with national entities to enhance Bahraini youth’s cultural awareness and appreciation of their heritage. It also promotes the use of traditional Bahraini expressions as a reflection of the community’s authenticity.

The programme included interactive activities and specialised workshops covering Bahrain’s history, folklore, and national values, along with initiatives focused on reviving and encouraging the use of traditional Bahraini vocabulary among younger generations.
