Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, said that the message issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on World Press Freedom Day reflects Bahrain’s commitment to press freedom and the role of journalism in national development.
He said the message reflects the values of credibility, responsibility, and national identity, and highlights the Royal support for national media.
Dr. Al Noaimi also highlighted the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting that it reflects the trust placed in the press as a partner in national progress, particularly in raising awareness, documenting achievements, and promoting openness and tolerance.
The Minister expressed appreciation for His Majesty’s recognition of the Ministry’s efforts to modernise media infrastructure, support young professionals, and produce content that reflects Bahrain’s advancement. He described this recognition as a source of pride and motivation for continued dedication.
He congratulated Bahrain’s media community on World Press Freedom Day and Bahrain Press Day, commending their professionalism and adaptation to digital advancements. He also lauded the Bahrain Journalists Association for its contributions over the past 25 years.
Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised the Ministry’s commitment to supporting journalists and enhancing the media environment, in line with the vision of His Majesty the King.
