Information Minister attends Media Talents Award 2024 closing ceremony

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, attended the closing ceremony of the Media Talents Award 2024.

This year’s theme focused on acting for television, cinema, and theatre. The award was held in strategic partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) as part of the Creative Lab initiatives.

The event was attended by Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, along with invited guests, artists, and media professionals.

In his speech, the Minister highlighted the award’s role in advancing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s media sector in line with the ministry’s strategy to enhance its regional and international standing. He emphasised Bahrain’s artistic and creative heritage and its young and innovative talents in various media fields.

Minister Al Noaimi highlighted the initiative’s role in developing young acting talents, noting its importance in national development and preserving Bahrain’s cultural identity.

The Minister commended the high participation in this year’s award, with over 200 applicants, and highlighted the specialised training programme led by experienced artists and experts for shortlisted candidates.

Minister Al Noaimi thanked the artists’ for their efforts in mentoring young talents and commended the organisers for ensuring the programme’s success.

The Minister expressed hope that the initiative would cultivate a new generation of actors, strengthening Bahrain’s presence in media and the arts. He congratulated the winners and wished all participants success.

During the ceremony, the winners of the award were announced. Hassan Mohammed Al Attawi won first place, Reem Isa Matrook came in second, and Nasser Nabeel Al Busaidi came in third.

The ceremony also featured a theatrical performance titled “We Can Dream”, presented by the competition’s finalists.
