Information minister pays tribute to Kuwait, stresses special bonds

Manama, Feb. 25: Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has paid tribute to the special bonds between Bahrain and Kuwait, praising the Kuwaiti positions that reflect the deep and growing brotherly relations between the two countries.

Ties between the two countries are based on robust foundations of friendship, mutual respect and common concern to consolidate Gulf ties, promote Arab joint action and support Arab and Islamic issues, the minister said as he offered his congratulations on Kuwait’s 58th Independence Day, 28th anniversary of the Liberation and the 13th anniversary of HH the Emir assuming power.

“The Kingdom of Bahrain is keen on participating alongside the people of Kuwait in celebrating their national days. We are proud of the historical bilateral ties that stem from the unity of religion, language, blood and common destiny,” Al Romaihi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

“There is also deep appreciation of HH the Emir’s standing in the collective consciousness of the Gulf peoples and the Arab and Islamic nations as a wise leader who has elevated his country’s status through achievements and consolidated its international stature thanks to his wise foreign policy and initiatives in the service of humanity. Relations between our two countries are being steadily strengthened at all levels and in all fields under the wise leaderships.”

Al Romaihi wished Kuwait further progress and prosperity and a steady consolidation of its outstanding development, civilizational and democratic achievements.
