The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Information Affairs today held its third periodic meeting for this year, under the chairmanship of Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television, Abdulla Khalid Al-Dosari.
The panel reviewed initiatives and proposals aimed at enhancing women’s integration opportunities in the Information Affairs Ministry.
The committee extended sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the 21st anniversary of SCW.
It affirmed the pivotal role played by the SCW, under the leadership of HRH Princess Sabeeka, over the past 21 years.
The committee discussed the progress made so far in implementing the programmes and initiatives it had approved during its previous meetings.
It also discussed launching new initiatives to ensure the sustainability of women’s advancement and provide them with the necessary support to enable them to carry out their role to the fullest.
