Information Minister receives amended draft statute of Gulf Press Union

Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, received today Chairman of Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA), Secretary General of the Gulf Press Union, Isa Al Shaiji, who presented him with the amended draft statute of the Gulf Press Union after its approval by Chairmen of the Gulf press associations during the meetings held recently in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Minister of Information commended the role of the Gulf Press Union in unifying the Gulf media discourse so as to boost the development achievements in the GCC member states. He stressed keenness of the Ministry of Information on supporting the union in its endeavor to develop its work mechanisms and promoting fraternal relations between the GCC countries.

Al Shaiji conveyed to the Minister of Information the greetings and appreciation of the Chairmen of the Gulf press associations for the kingdom’s hosting of the Gulf Press Union headquarters and the unflinching support accorded by the Ministry of Information to the union.
